Software Makes Designing Interface Mockups a Cinch
I ran across a very interesting program last week. Balsamiq Mockup makes it easy for users to create mockups of web pages or software interfaces.
Design Interfaces Quickly
If you want to quickly design how a certain web page might be laid out, you open the program, drag on a browser window, drag on your buttons and text fields and voila, you have your layout. You can also use more advanced widgets such as call-outs, tabs, a rich text toolbar, scroll bars and plenty more.
Better Than Pencil and Paper
You might be thinking that you can just draw your designs with a pencil and paper. Yes, you can. But what you can't do with pencil and paper is re-size something or move it around simply by clicking and dragging. Mockup also lets you export your drawing.
If I had a top-ten list of most impressive programs, Mockup would be on it.
